It reminded me to be kinder to myself. It made me stop and become aware of how I was feeling

ONLINE WORKSHOP OCCURRING EVERY SIX WEEKS.  NEXT SESSION IS MONDAY JULY 10TH, 9.30AM - 10AM BST.

Be Well Collective presents our fourth guided journaling club, which will be focused on how to set smart, achievable goals.

Do you ever feel like you are drifting without knowing where you're going? You vaguely know what you would ideally like to achieve, but often fall short on actually getting those things done? Or you know what you want, but have no idea how to get there? That's where smart goal-setting comes in. Setting the right goals - goals that are achievable, actionable, and measurable, are the first step towards planning for your future, and developing the skills you need to get there.

The journal club is a morning zoom event occurring every six weeks. This journaling club will once again feature a guided meditation, and then a journaling session, lasting 30 minutes in total. We encourage you to tap into your mind and engage in the safe space of the Be Well community, consisting of like-minded individuals. We will provide a framework and thoughtful prompts, so you can get the best results out of the practice.

I learned how my focus on past hurts and disappointments, and on the negative (in general) keeps me stuck in life. I feel sad about not making progress, but I haven’t been able to make progress because of where I am focusing. If I learn to let go of what was/is wrong or difficult, and let myself see what was or is good/ going well, then I would be able to see ahead, and move, and make even a little progress in a better direction. I know that eventually I will find myself in a better place if I keep doing that.

The pro’s of journaling:

  • Reducing anxiety

  • Breaking away from a nonstop cycle of obsessive thinking and brooding

  • Improving the awareness and perception of events

  • Regulating emotions

  • Encouraging awareness

  • Supporting physical health

I enjoyed how there were different stages in the guided journaling prompts which we climbed towards, by reflecting on our first prompts and adding to them
