Boundaries and People Pleasing with Emma Azzopardi

The people who do not like you putting boundaries in place, are the very people who benefit from you not having boundaries in the first place.

We all have certain boundaries. What we will accept from other people and what we will not. Psychotherapist Emma Azzopardi explains the importance of boundaries, what they are and how they are beneficial to protect our mental health. Emma teaches us how we can enforce our boundaries and what we can do when someone oversteps them.

Understanding our boundaries and upholding them is a valuable part of protecting ourselves. Emma shares how her lack of boundaries in the past and “people pleasing” behaviour affected her, and how with time, she has learnt to accept that other people’s opinions are not worth sacrificing for.
