I’m Ellen, a personal trainer, mentor and Well-being Business Consultant. With a passion to make well-being part of everyday life, encourage a growth mindset and remove the stigma around mental health. Mental strength is just as important to train as your physical strength and with the right mindset, you can truly reach any goal.

How did you hear about Mentoring Young Creatives?

I have always followed Be Well Collective and watched the community grow with its incredible work. Mentoring has always been something I wanted to do, I want to give someone else the support I wish I had through my own personal experiences within the creative industry, and as soon as I saw the opportunity with Be Well Collective, I knew it was the right fit.

Why do you want to be a Mentor on the Mentoring Young Creatives programme?

Being a creative person can me exhausting, physically and mentally, as well as lonely at times. There have been so many times where I wished I had someone to confide in, someone to guide me when I felt challenged, and also encourage me to believe in myself and hold me accountable to my goals.

What past experiences do you have which you believe will help you to mentor a young person in the creative industries?

Having moved around a lot to different countries, working for myself and a few deeper personal experiences, I have certainly learned a great deal about mindset, well-being and how to get the best from yourself when you’re on the road alone. All I want to do is give someone else the advice I have learned along the way and craft their own journey.

What do you hope to achieve from the Mentoring Young Creatives programme?

To really help my mentee achieve their truest potential. To help them cultivate the success they want in life and create a mindset that allows them to find confidence within themselves.

What are you most excited about in starting the Mentoring Young Creatives programme?

Getting to know my mentee and support them in their journey. Together working through any obstacles they face in the road to achieve greatness in their life and industry.

How do you think your career and health would have been affected had you had the opportunity to be mentored early in your career?

Truthfully I know it would of helped a lot. Just having someone who can understand your creative brain can be all you need to just allow you to take bold steps in the direction you really want to go in life. I believe true success is built with a team, we should all be supporting each other.

What is the best piece of advice that you have been given by a mentor/colleague/friend?

We can do hard things and we all have potential within us.
