Host Your Own Clothes Sale and Raise Money for the Be Well Collective
At Be Well Collective our mission is to improve the health and wellbeing of those within the fashion industry however, we also care deeply about the wellbeing of our environment.
As a not-for-profit within the fashion community, we feel that it is really important to do our part to encourage a reduction of textile waste alongside building our community initiatives. Getting a group of friends or community together to provide these clothes which may have been given to you from a brand and you may never end up wearing, to be used and shared instead of ending up in landfill.
Because of this we have created the BWC Sample Sale Scheme. A way for individuals to part with pre loved clothing and fashion items in an environmentally friendly way, whilst raising money for a positive cause, that feeds back into the fashion community.
Why
We consume fashion on a massive scale however, many people struggle to make the connection between our consumption and the impact this has on the planet.
This is likely to take place even more-so for those within the fashion industry including models, influencers and designers, as individuals are impacted by the social pressures of fast fashion. For example, to be seen wearing the newest trends and avoiding rewearing items, with “the age of social media” playing a big part in this negative cycle.
When collaborating with brands models and influencers can be sent new items every single week to promote via social media platforms, creating an ongoing cycle of unwanted or sparsely worn items of clothing.
We want to promote a longer life for these items by hosting regular sample sales including unwanted pieces from our brand collaborators and encourage our audience to do the same with their own wardrobes.
The Facts
We produce 150 BILLION items of new clothing, every single year.
Garments on average, are worn much less and discarded of quicker than ever before.
In the UK alone, we send an estimated 350,000 tonnes of clothing to landfill each year. Up to 95% of these textiles could be recycled.
Second to oil, the clothing and textile industry is regarded as the largest polluter on the planet.

Steps to hosting your own BWC Sample Sale!
Sign up
Contact us on info@bewellcollective.co.uk to sign up to host your very own sample sale and receive a sample sale pack from us!
Location
Find a space to run the sample sale. This can be at home, in your garden, in your office, or if you are inviting people from the open community, a safe space that will be open to the public.
Time
Pick a time and date that works for you, it’s super flexible.
Share
Share with us, with your social media following and community the details of your sample sale. Post about it on insta stories, stick posters up at your agency/work, get the word out at your gym/fitness class.
Set up
Collect together unwanted items from yours and your friends wardrobes
On the day
Simply hang items on rails and lay out pieces on tables. Price items reasonably and you can even charge a small entrance fee of £3 to those attending or include a healthy food sale!
